headlines and footnotes — issue 06 "Metropolis"
The concept "Headlines and Footnotes" from STRIKE Magazine Athens’ sixth issue critiques the oversaturation of flashy, attention-grabbing content that prioritizes spectacle over depth, leaving audiences increasingly desensitized and indifferent. Ultimately, it reflects on the unquenchable demand for more and the diminishing impact of its overabundance.
My piece, "A Eulogy for Eccentricity," offers an interesting perspective on the digital age’s erosion of individuality, intimacy, and empathy — almost like a funeral. The story examines how social media’s omnipresence and the commodification of human connections have led to a homogenized existence. Through evocative prose, it mourns the loss of authenticity while daring to hope for redemption and a return to true humanity.

genesis — issue 07 "Spectacle"
“Genesis,” a concept I designed during my role as Content Assistant, serves as the opening act of STRIKE Magazine Athens’ seventh issue. This chapter explores the binding forces of fate and destiny and challenges the illusion of free will as a salve for the predetermined course assigned to us at birth. It examines how fortune is blind to justice, and spins its wheel with ruinous and miraculous outcomes. These results provoke us to question whether our choices hold the power to alter the paths set at the genesis of our lives.
My mythologically inspired narrative, “Eden,” visualizes fortune as an ingredient of the human experience, and inversely, the human experience as an ingredient of fortune. This narrative follows Fortuna, an orphaned daughter of gods, as she ascends to the throne as the Goddess of Fortune. In summary, this tale explores the delicate balance of fortune, suffering, and growth, revealing that even divine power cannot escape the human condition.
